The Agile Enterprise approach attempts to overcome the following strategy execution barriers we have come across during our 20+ years of business management experience, over and over again:​

1. There are too many strategic and/or change initiatives at one time, and inability to prioritize. 

2. The purpose of strategic initiatives is not well-communicated.

3. The strategy plans are too long with no short-term reviews.

4. Operating model and organizational design are not supporting the strategy.

5. Senior leaders are not always aligned about focus areas nor engaged in a common agenda. 

6. There are too many silos focused on their own area of expertise and behaving as rivals instead of focusing on building customer value as “one team”. 

7. There is a lack of customer centricity and understanding of why the customers buy.

8. The execution capabilities are inadequate.
